Chartering Your Outpost is Important!
Officially chartered outposts can take advantage of many events and training opportunities. When you charter, your outpost will receive a great deal of helpful materials and assistance with implementing your Royal Rangers ministry effectively.
- Separate editions of Rangers NOW for each of the four age groups and leaders
- Ranger Kids
- Discovery Rangers
- Adventure Rangers
- Expedition Rangers
- Leaders
- Eligibility for the National Championship competitions
- Access to Navigator, a data-tracking tool, to chart boys' advancements and leaders' training
- Selected brochures that highlight the many areas of ministry available to Royal Rangers
- Additional brochures are available for purchase through Gospel Publishing House.
- Participation in the Leadership Training Academy, national training camps, and national events
- Basic Discovery Training Course and Basic Junior Training Course CDs
- They focus on providing tools to the local outpost in the areas of junior leadership training.
- Participation in district activities and training events
- An outpost number and an official charter certificate
- Selected brochures that highlight the many areas of ministry available to Royal Rangers
- Additional brochures are available for purchase through Gospel Publishing House.
- Support from the district staff
- Correspondence about upcoming events and activities (may include information released on district Web site)
- Award program enrollment, making your group eligible to participate in the Outpost Commander's Award program
- Participation in the Leadership Training Academy, district training camps, and district activities
- Participation in section activities and training events
- Support from the section staff
- Correspondence about upcoming events and activities (may include information released on section website, if available)
- Participation in section activities
In order to obtain an official charter, your outpost must meet minimum requirements.
- A qualified leader and, if possible, one or more assistants
- At least five boys who have met the recruit requirements
- A registration fee for each participating boy and adult
- Holding at least three regular meetings
