PCCNA Convention To Meet
Next Month in Virginia
The annual meeting of the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North
America will meet at Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Hampton, Va.,
September 27 and 28. Theme for the convention is "All Together in
One Place (Acts 2:4)."
Evening speakers for the conference will be Charles Quillen, a
pastor and counselor who has a heart to see reconciliation among
the churches; and Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle.
Worship will be led by the Brooklyn Tabernacle music ministry.
Days will be filled with workshops where speakers will address
a variety of topics. Leaders include Bishop Samuel Green of the
Church of God in Christ; Bishop Barbara Amos, founder of Faith Deliverance
Christian Center; Anne Gimenez, founder of International Women in
Leadership; Dr. Vinson Synan, dean of the School of Divinity at
Regent University; Ron Johnson, pastor of Bethel Temple Assembly
of God, Hampton, Va.; Jerry Qualls, pastor of Glad Tidings Church,
Norfolk; and Dr. Russell West, director of the D.Min. program at
Regent University.
Gary W. Moon, president of the Psychological Studies Institute,
will address a Critical Issues Luncheon. Pat Cerjan, an educator
and counselor, will speak for the Women's Auxiliary Luncheon.
General Superintendent Thomas Trask, co-chairman with Bishop Gilbert
Patterson of Memphis, Tenn., states: "The PCCNA is honored to be
coming to Hampton for its annual meeting. I would like to commend
the pastors of the Tidewater area churches for the spirit in which
they have cooperated. Certainly this is a day that the church can
take the lead in this matter of reconciliation, and the PCCNA Conference
will give testimony to what God is doing across church and racial
boundaries in the Spirit of Christ."
For information on housing and registration, contact Bethel Temple
at (757) 826-1426. Ron Johnson is host pastor for the conference.
