Finding Enrichment online

By Richard Schoonover

In today’s fast-paced world, more and more people are turning to the Internet for instant information. But ministers can find more than just information online, they can now also experience Enrichment in several forms online as well.

Enrichment journal e-newsletter

When the Ministerial Enrichment Office, along withEnrichment journal, began its ministry in 1995, its goal was to minister to ministers. Staying true to its mission, Enrichment journal is continually providing resources for Pentecostal pastors. One of these resources is the journal’s e-newsletter, Tools of the Trade.

Tools of the Trade is a biweekly newsletter that provides relevant and practical tips and resources for becoming a more effective Pentecostal minister. Tools of the Trade contains a practical and proven ideas section that will enhance one’s ministry in the 21st century. Pastors will learn from those who have effective ministries.

The “Pentecostal Preaching” section focuses on heart preparation and proclamation. Each issue contains sermon ideas, word studies and more. Pastors who subscribe to Tools of the Trade have found this section to be a valuable asset to their preaching ministry.

Today’s pastors face the stress of ministry in a fast-paced society. “Pastor’s Survival Guide,” the third section of Tools of the Trade, presents insights to help busy pastors stay spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically healthy.

Enrichment Spanish site

In 2002, Enrichment journal began translating articles into Spanish and developed Revista de enriquecimiento, its Spanish Web site. Over the years Enrichment has continued to develop and expand this site. Each quarter Revista de enriquecimiento not only provides articles from the current issue translated into Spanish, it also contains articles on the Holy Spirit as well as sermons and other ministry helps.

Efraim Espinoza, director of the Assemblies of God Office of Hispanic Relations, states, “The Spanish Enrichment journal Web site provides our pastors and ministers who have only limited English reading ability the opportunity to benefit from many of the articles that are posted in Spanish. The increasing number of visits to this Web site indicates it is meeting a growing need in our Hispanic constituency.”

Enrichment journal forum

In an effort to build community among Enrichment journal readers, Enrichment journal has developed an online forum so readers can comment on Enrichment articles and interact with other readers. Not only are members able to comment on each issue of the journal, they also are able to comment on other relevant ministry topics and interact with comments from other members.
