Free prep guide available

The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education and On Course magazine present the ultimate college-prep resource for AG high school students.
In 2008, national Youth Ministries and The Alliance for AG Higher Education entered into a partnership for the production of On Course magazine. A core function of both departments is to equip and empower students for a real-life relationship with Christ. Therefore, collaboration on a publication with this same mission made perfect sense.
Birthed out of this partnership, a new and improved AG College Guide makes its debut here at General Council. This “dual edition” features 24 pages of detailed information about the 19 endorsed AG colleges along with eight pages of On Course articles relevant to the college experience. Designed to help students consider the many opportunities available through an AG education, the guides are hot off the presses and can be picked up free of charge at the Alliance booth.
The AG College Guide features full-page descriptions of each college with helpful details including contact information, academic programs offered, tuition costs, financial aid, admission requirements, etc. Also, each page includes a paragraph describing the unique “flavor” of the campus. The accompanying mini-issue of On Course addresses crucial college concerns about the transition to college life, financial aid availability and growing in a deeper relationship with God.
Amber Weigand-Buckley, On Course editor, stated, “It was exciting to see this project come together. The partnership on the College Guide not only gives essential college connections to the student, it directly addresses the ‘whys’ and ‘how tos’ students need to consider when preparing for college – the next step in the discipleship process.”
To get this vital information in the hands of even more students, for the first time, all Fine Arts Festival participants will receive a copy of the AG College Guide as an insert in their program, coupled with a full issue of On Course magazine.
