Evening Youth Rally with Mark Vega

Mark Vega is a preacher who travels and proclaims the message of salvation and hope throughout the nations. He is passionate about seeing people experience the salvation of their souls and restoration in their lives, and he loves seeing the church be empowered to succeed and to make a difference. Mark is unique among preachers for his ability to communicate both in English and in Spanish God’s message to leaders, adults, and youth. His ministry ties cultures together and calls people to encounter Christ. Mark Vega is the founder of IGNITE Inc., an internship program that prepares young people called to full-time ministry in the areas of leadership and ministerial life. Responding to God's call on his life, Rev. Vega left his professional career for a full-time pursuit of his preaching and Bible teaching ministry. Mark is also author of the book, “Don’t Wait for Me to Die.” Mark and Lisa Vega are the pastors of Ignite Life Center, a vibrant and growing church in Gainesville, Florida
Keynote rally with Dr. George O. Wood
Tuesday, August 4, 7:00 p.m.
General Superintendent George O. Wood will speak at the keynote rally of the 53rd General Council. Elected to lead the Fellowship in 2007, Wood quickly established initiatives to emphasize church multiplication, training young leaders and the resourcing of churches and individuals for more effective ministry. With more than 40 years of ministry experience, Wood previously served as general secretary for 14 years. He was assistant superintendent of the Southern California District from 1988-1993, after pastoring Newport-Mesa Christian Center in Costa Mesa, California, for 17 years. In May 2008, Wood was elected to serve as chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.
Evening Youth Rally with Jay Mooney
Wednesday, August 5, 7:00 p.m.
As national youth director for the Assemblies of God, Jay Mooney has a passion to see "a multitude of underdogs become champions for Jesus Christ." He previously served as the national student outreach (Youth Alive) director and as Georgia’s district youth director. Mooney also ministered as both a youth pastor and senior pastor.

Evening Rally (Combined Adults/Youth) with Herbert L. Cooper, Jr.
Thursday, August 6, 7:00 p.m.
With a vision to plant a multi-cultural church in a major American city, Herbert Cooper and his wife Tiffany opened People’s Church in Oklahoma City in May 2002. The church has grown from 65 people in attendance at the first service to nearly 2,000. In addition to his work at People’s Church, Cooper has been a much sought after evangelist since his graduation from Evangel University in 1997. He has spoken at revivals, conventions and crusades across America and in countries such as Ukraine, Malawi and Uganda.
Evening Rally (Combined Adults/Youth) with Dick Brogden
Friday, August 7, 6:30 p.m.
Dick Brogden will share at the closing serving of the 53rd General Council. Having served among the unreached since 1992, Brogden has developed innovative ministry methods. He was born in Kenya to missionary parents and is a graduate of North Central University.
