Bridget Sheehan
Corrections Chaplain
Chaplain Sheehan's ministry started 19 years ago as a volunteer in a local state prison, the same prison where her father had been an inmate and the man who murdered her sister was incarcerated.
For the last 17 years, Chaplain Sheehan has been ministering to women in prison in Wisconsin. Her main teaching theme is focused on forgiveness — whether you are a victim or a perpetrator. Her ministry to women inmates includes Bible studies, prayer, and literature distribution. Chaplain Sheehan provides discipleship training through biblical life skills classes on relapse, recovery, anger, and provides opportunities for prayer and grief counseling when needed.
Bridget is endorsed by the Assemblies of God Commission on Chaplains as a prison chaplain. She is self-supporting. She enjoys hobbies such as crafts, interior design, singing, and writing. She schedules personal spiritual retreats for self-encouragement and strength.
For women in ministry, Chaplain Sheehan says, "No matter who you are or what you have been through, Jesus has the Words of Life for every dead place of failure or loss in life. People need the Lord Jesus because He is the real answer and healer for all who will believe."
