Krista Hampton
Senior Pastor

At 15 years of age, Krista Hampton received Christ as her Savior and was baptized in water. For the next 5 years, Krista attended church every Sunday but felt there had to be more than what she was experiencing. At the age of 20, someone invited her to an Assembly of God church where she found what was missing, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which she had never heard of before. Shortly after beginning to attend the Assemblies of God church, Krista was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Immediately, a hunger and passion for the Lord arose in her heart.

A few years later, the Lord called her to the ministry. After much prayer, Krista and her husband Keith, along with their two daughters, sold their home and most of their belongings and moved to Florida for Krista to attend Bible college.

Today, Krista, with the help and support of her husband, is serving as the senior pastor of River of Life Ministries in Paris, Kentucky. Since taking the pastorate, the church has grown from 40 in Sunday morning attendance to 300. They have also started a Spanish-speaking service, Rio De Vida, which is thriving and has a full-time Hispanic Pastor, Ernesto Martinez. Krista also has a team that ministers to the woman inmates weekly at the county jail.

The heartbeat of River of Life is passionate worship, a people of prayer, a deep burden for the lost, a desire to disciple and a servant attitude in everything. The motto of River of Life Ministries is "A church known by the way we love one another" John 13:35.
